The church was built in 1720 in Baroque in style, but has many Gothic elements, while the interior is quite minimalist that evokes mysticism. Due to its unique architecture the church was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1994.

Dating from the 15th century, this monumental castle is a fine example of the Renaissance architecture in Moravia. Namest nad Oslavou Castle was originally built... on the ruins of a 13th century fortress by the Moravian lords of Zierotin and to this day is preserved almost unchanged. The walk through the history is available through the tour that takes visitors in the castle rooms furnished with historical furniture and decorated with precious paintings and tapestries. Although the castle chapel is notable for its design, it is the library that is the most unique part with a rich selection of books and a beautifully frescoed barrel ceiling. There is another tour available, one that takes visitors to the private apartments of Haugwitz family, who owned it in the 19th and 20th century.

Since 1623 the castle has been privately owned by the Lobkowicz family who played a major role in the history of Central Europe. Terezin fortress was built by the Emperor Joseph II at the end of the 18th century in honor of his mother Maria Theresa but during... the WWII it had been turned into a Jewish ghetto and a Gestapo prison by the Nazis. The fortress includes a whole complex of buildings surrounded by the walls and today it is a living monument that commemorates all victims of Jewish population that lost their lives here due to malnutrition, brutality and overcrowding. The complex is divided between the “Small Fortress” that was a prison for political prisoners and “Large Fortress” that became a ghetto for Jews.
