Being situated in the midst of a fertile land Kalocsa has a long agricultural tradition which resulted in a long and successful production of paprika that in this town even has its own museum – the Paprika museum, located in the center of the town. Another great museum is The Karoly Viski Museum with the rich exhibition of coins, a collection of traditional costumes, a collection of ancient documents that reflect the history of the city, and a library of approximately 10,000 volumes.
