One should visit Tvrdos Monastery for at least two amazing reasons: the beautiful 15th century Serbian Orthodox Monastery and the wine the monks produce here.... The Monastery is built on foundations of the Roman Church dating all the way back to the 4th century. The church has a glass floor, which is like a “window to past” because through it, foundations of the old Roman church can be seen. As for the wines, it is enough to know that today the monks produce world’s award-winning wines. Private tours of the church and its beautiful garden as well as the wine cellars are available.

Ostrog Monastery
Montenegro

Ostrog Monastery is located on an almost vertical cliff and constructed within two large caves in a way that it seems almost like growing out... from the magnificent mountain. It was founded in 1665 by Vasilije, the Metropolitan Bishop of Herzegovina. This Serbian Orthodox church actually consists of Lower and Upper Monasteries, with the first one being located 2 km below the main shrine i.e. the Upper Monastery. Although this pilgrimage site attracts a great multitude of visitors every year, it still remains an utterly affecting place that is widely believed to have miraculous powers.
