Created in part by the stream... and the other part made by man who dug deeply into the canyon walls, the Caves are one of the most admired and visited natural spots around Treviso. The caves are actually quite unique featuring several waterfalls and potholes and small springs and streams that flow out of the rock openings. The tour starts with the visit of the artificial caves and continues over a wooden boardwalk that crosses the natural part of the Caglieron Caves. At the end of the trail you reach an ancient mill that is converted into a nice restaurant.

The Catajo Castle was built between 1570 and 1573 by the Obizzi family, who originated from France. Their intention was to build a palace that... would represent the glory of their family, mostly known as “soldiers of fortune”. No wonder the castle features a grand fresco of military victories and symbolic representations of government on the main floor. The palace itself is an opulent, peaceful and aristocratic home with a long boulevard that leads to the Giants Courtyard. The building is majestic, consisting of 350 rooms, and the most notable parts are the elephant fountain in front of the entrance, mighty staircases and a grand terrace, which is a sort of an open-air ballroom.

Tiziano Vecellio, or Titian, was considered the... greatest Italian Renaissance painter of the Venetian school, particularly admired for his skill with color and fine brushwork. The house in which the painter was born was declared a national monument in 1922. The itself house is a traditional 15th century Cadore style home, but what’s more impressive is its interior where visitors can admire plenty reproductions of the famous painter’s artwork, autographed copies of letters and other memorabilia.
