Although often overlooked by visitors, Graz is an exciting city. It is not by chance that in 2003 Graz was the European Capital of Culture... and that the whole city is a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. Since the Middle Ages, the unique architectural styles spanning from Gothic, Baroque, Renaissance and Art Nouveau are well preserved and today beautifully coexist with the modern buildings. But Graz is far from being just a historic marvel; it is a pulsating and open-minded place with a rich cultural and gastronomic scene and events of all kinds.

Gyor is a beautiful and charming town that hosts a vast array of architectural, cultural and natural treasures and has therefore received the European Award... for its contribution to the protection of historical heritage. The reminders of an eventful history can be seen in its well reconstructed Baroque center, full of narrow lanes, museums, palaces and churches. The Bishop's Cathedral on Kaptalan Hill, although beautiful from the outside, it’s more important for the fascinating sacred objects that it houses, among which the reliquary of Szent Laszlo I (St. Ladislaus I), king of Hungary who reigned between 1077 and 1095. Another church worth exploring is the 17th century Baroque Benedictine Church.
