Skocjan Caves is the amazing natural phenomenon of vast underground space filled with nice stalactite and stalagmites created by the River Reka. The limestone cave... system is 6.2 kilometers long and features also natural bridges, lakes, waterfalls, and gorges. Such a surprising natural diversity is simply awe-inspiring and is understandable that it is on UNESCO’s list of natural and cultural world heritage sites. The tour takes nearly 2 hours and is available in different languages. Please note that there are plenty of steps inside and some uphill bits during the tour. But it’s highly recommended because the scenery inside the caves is amazing, resembling surreal fairy tale landscapes.

Ljubljana
Slovenia

Ljubljana is a worthwhile shorter or longer stop on any trip through Slovenia. If you have limited time in Ljubljana and just want to feel... the vibe of the place, take a walk in the Old Town and enjoy the amazing architecture and various little shops along the way. If, on the other hand, you have some time to spare do explore the city more thoroughly as it offers an abundance of theaters, museums, and galleries; walk along the River Ljubljanica Canal; take Funicular to Ljubljana Castle and relax in the Tivoli Park. Or any other park for that matter because, don’t forget, - Ljubljana was awarded the “Green Capital of Europe” in 2016.

Quality photo of Groznjan - Croatia

Groznjan
Croatia

75 min

Groznjan is an ideal destination for one-day excursion. But don’t be fooled by its dimensions because if you happen to go there during summer months... you will see how this tiny and compact little town becomes a truly active artistic beehive – cultural manifestations, music academies, shows of popular artists, dance and drama workshops, festivals… such a busy schedule for such a small town! Even if you don’t go there during summer, the unique atmosphere of a medieval town, whose original beauty has been kept until today, can be felt simply by walking through the old town.

Quality photo of Piran - Slovenia

Piran
Slovenia

90 min

It is hard not to be charmed by the lovely Italian-influenced architecture, the narrow old-town streets or the array of marine life. Piran was part... of the Venetian empire from the 13th century and it was actually part of Italy until the end of WWII and you can well feel the typical Italian laid-back attitude. All in all, the almost dreamlike atmosphere of Piran will linger in the memory long after you've gone.
