Kalwaria Zebrzydowska is Poland’s first pilgrimage park established at the beginning of the 17th century. The creator of this outstanding sanctuary was Mikołaj Zebrzydowski, the Voivode of Kraków, who had the idea to create a copy of Jerusalem. The central point is point is the marvelous Baroque St. Mary's Basilica. The site is not interesting only for pilgrims because its values well exceed religious significance with the richness and variety of architectural designs and the unison between nature and man-made wonders.
