Have your camera ready as you will be taking many photos of the idyllic castle setting! The 16th century summer house of princes is located... on a rock in an artificial pond and it is connected to the land by a stone bridge. The dramatic red color of the facade is what sets apart this castle from other Renaissance castles in Bohemia. On the northern side of the castle is a gracefully landscaped park with the Renaissance Chapel of The Holy Trinity while on the southern side there are dense woods. Although the surroundings are a delight, it is definitely worth seeing the castle from the inside as well. The rooms are furnished with lavish furniture from the early 20th century and offer a detailed insight into the life of the nobility at that time. The castle is not very big thus when finish exploring it you’ll have just enough time to rent a boat on the lake and enjoy a scenic ride around the castle.

Bad Ischl is a work of art painted by a famous artist in real size. That’s the impression you will have once you visit Bad... Ischl. And that is probably the impression Emperor Franz Joseph had, given that he visited this town every year for his summer holidays until his death. Emperor presence can still be felt on every step – you’ll see portraits on the buildings, statue and emperor’s photographs in many cafes and restaurants. With its riverside location, colorful and graceful architecture and the beauty of the surrounding landscape, it is very easy to fall in love with this historic spa town.

Just walking among the Renaissance and Baroque colorfully painted buildings and... passing by (or entering, by all means!) the charming taverns, restaurants and traditional artisan shops, will make you feel instantly uplifted and more positive. Probably the most acclaimed attraction is the Castle with its Baroque theatre, one of the best preserved in central Europe and the strikingly colorful round tower. After you finish your visit to Cesky Krumlov you will clearly understand why it is a Unesco World Heritage Site and why it is an irresistible tourist magnet. The town is also home to many cultural events and festivals, the Celebration of the Rose in June being the most popular.
