Dating from the 15th century, this monumental castle is a fine example of the Renaissance architecture in Moravia. The walk through the history is available through the tour that takes visitors in the castle rooms furnished with historical furniture and decorated with precious paintings and tapestries. Although the castle chapel is notable for its design, it is the library that is the most unique part with a rich selection of books and a beautifully frescoed barrel ceiling. There is another tour available, one that takes visitors to the private apartments of Haugwitz family, who owned it in the 19th and 20th century.

Almost just as wonderful as the Check capital Prague, Brno has one important advantage - it’s not overrun with tourists! That certainly doesn’t mean that... it lacks creativity, joie de vivre or extremely charming zest. Brno is a compact city so it’s not hard to experience its treasures on foot. Most of Brno’s major sights are located in the center like the Gothic Town Hall, the Capuchin Monastery or the Labyrinth under the Cabbage Market. Its lively streets are full of cafes, outdoor restaurants, galleries, museums and street performers and the mix of cultures is simply enchanting.
