You’ll find splendor and enjoyment in every corner of the town of Cesky Krumlov. Just walking among the Renaissance and Baroque colorfully painted buildings and... passing by (or entering, by all means!) the charming taverns, restaurants and traditional artisan shops, will make you feel instantly uplifted and more positive. Probably the most acclaimed attraction is the Castle with its Baroque theatre, one of the best preserved in central Europe and the strikingly colorful round tower. After you finish your visit to Cesky Krumlov you will clearly understand why it is a Unesco World Heritage Site and why it is an irresistible tourist magnet. The town is also home to many cultural events and festivals, the Celebration of the Rose in June being the most popular.

The Hohenwerfen castle is located just a short drive away from Salzburg. A fortified castle, built around the end of the 11th century, stands high... on a steep peek, allowing spectacular views of the surrounding valley. Being located atop a hill, it can be reached on foot (approximately a 20 minutes’ walk) or by funicular. The castle has something for everyone – from different tours of the fortress, to a weapons exhibition, or a nice meal in castle tavern and a visit to the medieval shop. But the most exciting part that will most certainly thrill any visitor is the historic Falconry Center with daily bird of prey flying show and the first Austrian Falconry Museum. This legendary fortress was also utilized as filming location for the classic Hollywood movie Where Eagles Dare starring Clint Eastwood.

The tranquil, forested lake-shore of Lake Wolfgang along with some impressive cultural sites make Sankt Wolfgang a fine destination for a day trip. The charm... of this little town, recognized by many tourists during the summer season, lies in the breathtaking mountain setting and its pretty painted houses and shops that enclose the narrow cobbled streets. St. Wolfgang was a very famous pilgrimage center, even back in the 12th century, thanks to the Pilgrimage Church that features gorgeous altarpiece dating from 1481.
