The permanent exhibition contains some of top tier Polish painters including several fine works by Wyspianski as well as the foreign artists like Paul Delaroche, Claude Monet, and Jan Matejko. This small town was founded in 13th century and it was not until some 350 years later that it started to become a notable name.... There are many historical building at the tourists’ disposal, such as the 17th century Calvanist church and a rather charming town hall, along with a museum that houses all the history they would need to know about the marvelous little town they’d be visiting.

Kornik Castle
Poland

Originating from the well-known Gorka family, this castle was first envisioned as a defensive structure, soon to be given a makeover in then more fashionable... Renaissance style. The rich owners were once again caught up with their contemporary architecture and remodeled the castle, this time making it a Baroque residence and finally settling on a neo-Gothic appearance that has sustained even to this day. There is the Kornik Library of the Polish Academy of Science, along with a museum of rather diverse and always intriguing objects. The most notable feature is the Moor Room heavily influenced by the Spanish. Please bring slippers as the visitors are required to be careful in order to preserve the wooden floors.
