Krakov is one of those European cities whose list of attractions is just too long to be written in one short description. Its beauty however... can be described as simply as – incredible. Krakow’s architecture is a delightful mixture of Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles that is beautifully preserved given that the city was miraculously almost untouched by the Second World War. In terms of history and culture Krakow has so much to offer – from the endless list of churches, including the Church of St. Wojciech, one of the oldest stone churches in Poland, numerous museums out of which Cracow Underground Museum should be specially mentioned, than one of the largest medieval squares in Europe, surrounded by trendy restaurants and pubs and the Gothic St. Mary’s Basilica, to a medieval Wawel Castle composed of richly fitted residential buildings, art galleries, churches and defensive towers.
