Verona has rightfully earned the title of world’s most romantic city because it’s right here that the love story of Romeo and Juliet took place.... In front of the House of Juliet, where the real-life Cappello family once lived, you have a chance to touch the statue of Juliet which will, allegedly, make your love wish come true. If this is not enough of a reason to visit Verona, than perhaps the city’s wealth of culture and history will persuade you to come. Verona surely doesn’t lack of ruins, history buildings, charm and beauty.

The Soave Castle is a beautiful, well preserved fortress that sits on Mount Tenda. It is s a typical medieval military artifact. It was built... in the 10th century and it consists of a drawbridge, a massive tower, and three walls forming three courts of different size. It is home to a small museum but the most inspiring feature of this castle is the Mastio, probably a former prison and a torture room. Inside the castle visitors can also admire the 14th century frescoes and medieval furniture and climb to the top of Soave Castle’s imposing tower for the amazing views of the hills and vineyards surrounding the castle.

Castello del Catajo
Italy

90 min

The Catajo Castle was built between 1570 and 1573 by the Obizzi family, who originated from France. Their intention was to build a palace that... would represent the glory of their family, mostly known as “soldiers of fortune”. No wonder the castle features a grand fresco of military victories and symbolic representations of government on the main floor. The palace itself is an opulent, peaceful and aristocratic home with a long boulevard that leads to the Giants Courtyard. The building is majestic, consisting of 350 rooms, and the most notable parts are the elephant fountain in front of the entrance, mighty staircases and a grand terrace, which is a sort of an open-air ballroom.
