Let yourself to be inspired or awed by these incredible structure! Orava Castle was initially built in 1241 but continuously rebuilt in the next few... centuries and finally in 1611 got its current appearance. Visitors discover the castle history while touring through many rooms that feature armor, artwork and antiques of the period. But what sets this castle apart from many other medieval castles is the live performance by local actors dressed in period costumes that dance, sing and act in order to fully revive the atmosphere of the 17th century. There is a bit of an effort to get the most stunning views of the village below and the imposing Tatra Mountains as there are approximately 500 stairs to the top of the castle tower.
