About Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa
The Museum of Folk Culture in Kolbuszowa is a large ethnographic open air museum spreading over an area of 30 hectares. It includes about 60 structures typical of 19th and 20th century villages. Apart from the timber homes, visitors will find here stables, windmills, watermills, a fire station, a church, a school and a Jewish inn. To present a more authentic look, the buildings have been fully equipped to depict every day and holiday life of their inhabitants. The oldest building in this park is a hut built in 1804. The park offers numerous activities in which visitors can participate like some old games, or learn how to bake bread or make pottery on a potter’s wheel.
