About Belianska Cave
Belianska Cave was open to public since the late 1800s and back in 1896 it was the first cave in Europe that had electric lights. Today’s tour lasts about an hour through enormous halls and thinner corridors and offers an opportunity to enjoy in the great variety of formations, sinter waterfalls, stalagmites and numerous lakes. Visitors are all overwhelmed when arriving to the “Music Hall”, a space with excellent acoustics where concerts are held every August. Be aware that there are 860 stairs to be passed along the tour. Warm clothes are recommended since the cave temperature rises only from 5 to 6°C in summer.
