About Kromberk Castle
A renovated Renaissance fortress stands on a hill just few kilometers from the town center of Nova Gorica. Built in typical Renaissance style with a square layout and 4 corner towers, the castle is home to the Regional Museum Goriški muzej which has a rich collection of paintings and cultural and historical artifacts. Surrounded by a lovely park, the castle boasts an amphitheater and outdoor lapidarium.
