About Castle Buchlov
The construction of this astonishing late Romanesque castle was carried out through different stages during more than 400 years, for which the castle’s architecture features different styles - Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque. The castle is huge indeed and houses many interesting exhibits including an armory, library, Gothic and Renaissance rooms, natural science collection but what’s most intriguing is an Egyptology collection so visitors will also see an Egyptian mummy. For beautiful views of the Moravian countryside we recommend climbing the tower but only if you are not afraid of heights.
