The splendid Camino Castle is situated in Monferrato hills and dates way back to the 11th century. Since then the castle passed several alternations, most significant ones happened in the 18th and 19th century when arched windows, balconies, main staircase and a ballroom were constructed. The most notable parts in its interior are the dining room in a Neo-Gothic style, the library, and the theater frescoed with scenes from Don Quixote. Its high tower, one of the highest in the region, overlooks the beautiful surroundings full of vineyards and ancient woods. Some of the most notorious people of Italian history were frequent guests of this castle like kings Vittorio Emanuele II, Umberto I, Vittorio Emanuele III as well as Mussolini and today you may also enjoy its facilities by renting one of its apartments.
