About Fenis Castle
This imposing Fenis Castle is without a doubt the most visited attraction in Valle d’Aosta. Unlike most of the castles that were built on top of a hill, Fenis Castle has no natural defenses, but has double crenellated surrounding walls that enclose the central building and the towers. It is actually a combination of a fortified stronghold and the aristocratic, majestic home. Visitors are free to explore the extraordinary architecture while the interior can be visited through a guided tour that includes armory, dining room, pantry, kitchen, study, counts’ chambers as well as the splendid chapel.
