Often described with adjectives like astonishing and incredible, the Spissky Castle more resembles some famous British or French castles than the ones typical of Central and Eastern Europe. The castle is impressive even from afar as it occupies the entire hilltop and with its mix of Romanesque and Gothic architecture it sure is breathtaking. With such a splendid appearance, it comes as no surprise that this National Cultural Monument featured in many Czech and Slovak movies. The audio tour is included in entrance ticket and inside the castle you will find pottery and blacksmith shops selling souvenirs.
