In the second half of the last century, the former Yugoslavian president Josip Broz Tito had glorious monuments made in order to commemorate the unity and vigor of the nation in the tragic World War II. They were quite futuristic for their time, massive, even brutal in their rigid and yet so beautiful steel appearance. They were stationed all over the country and still represent a well-known theme. This particular monument is dedicated to the fallen soldiers of Kosmaj partisan detachment and represents a communist party that revived the area after the tragic losses during the times of warfare.
