Divin may seem as a sleepy village but it has a surprisingly exciting history. Ruins of the medieval Divin Castle rise above the village. The Castle was built by the end of the 13th century and it played an important role in defending the village from the Turks in the 16th century. In the 17th century, it was home of the notorious robber-knight Imrich Balassa. An abandoned Renaissance manor house, Baroque church, and the oldest sundial in region are also in Devin.
