About Museum of a Slovak Village
The Museum of the Slovak Village is the largest open-air museum in Slovakia and includes 129 buildings that were brought here from 113 villages. All these buildings were authentically renovated and 22 are fully furnished and open to public. The genuine ethnographic exhibition provides a valuable insight to traditional building and living culture throughout Slovakia. Visitors will find here a yeoman homestead from 1748, an oil production facility, an inn dating back to 1811, and a wooden Roman-Catholic church from 1792.
