About Kosice
Kosice is a fascinating mix of history and modern times. In the past, Kosice was a gateway between east and west and today it is still a unique Central European metropolis with so many interesting sites to visit. Its city center is compact and pedestrianized making it easy to do the most important sightseeing in one day. You may start your tour at the town’s main square which features the dazzling Gothic St. Elisabeth Cathedral, the largest cathedral in Slovakia. On the main square there are also the Urbans tower and the chapel of St. Michael, both dating from the 14th century. The whole area of the city center is a very lively place with many restaurants and cafes offering great selection of wines, especially the famous Tokaj wine.
