Braunau am Inn is mostly renowned for two things: for the house where Hitler was born and for the Church of St. Stephan. Austrian authorities have decided to transform Hitler’s birth house into a museum called “House of Responsibility”, dedicated to his crimes against humanity committed during the WWII. The Stadtpfarrkirche St. Stephan church is decorated in works of art that date back to the 15th century when the church was built. Of special significance is the amazing Gothic ceiling.
