About Osijek
Osijek is the 4th largest city in Croatia and the regional capital of Slavonia. It is a historic city dating back to 13th century, today full of parks, bars and clubs with a scenic waterfront walkway along the Drava River. Osijek is divided into two main parts – the Upper Town, known for an imposing city square, Trg Ante Starcevica and the Neo-Gothic Church of St. Peter and Paul, and Tvrdja, the well preserved fortress town boasting largest accumulation of Baroque buildings in all of Croatia. Within Tvrdja there are also the Museum of Slavonia, a Franciscan Monastery, and the church of St. Anthony.
