About Klodawa Salt Mine
What sets apart Klodawa Salt Mine from many other mines open to public is that this is still an active mine where you can see, first hand, how the salt is mined. It is, therefore, the deepest salt operating mine open for tourist in the world. The mine is 26 km long and 4 km wide and it is characterized by Klodawa’s pink and blue salt which creates spectacular caverns. The designated tourist trail goes between 600 m and 750 m below ground and the tour lasts about two and a half hours.
